Shah Rukh Khan is making every effort to achieve a third consecutive box office success with the upcoming release of his film Dunki on December 21. At a fan event in Dubai, the star revealed details about the film. Over the weekend, SRK was seen at the Mumbai airport boarding his flight to Dubai, where he had plans to meet his fans in a grand event that saw him showcasing his best performance for a song and dance session.
The actor took to the stage wearing a jacket, a t-shirt, and cargo pants. He danced to his latest song O Maahi and also performed the popular Pathaan song Jhoome Jo Pathaan.
During his interaction with the audience, Khan let slip the details of the plot of his film Dunki and disclosed that it centred around the theme of "home is where the heart is".
He said, "I know that a lot of you people have left your homes and have made Dubai your second home. From India, Bangladesh, the rest of the subcontinent, so many of you are here from Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Now you all are far from home, but you have acquired a new home. Still you have a deep love for your home and have this longing to go back. This whole film talks about home is where the heart is."
Dunki revolves around the concept of donkey flight, an illegal immigration method. Expanding on this, SRK explained, "It deals with going out, finding a future for yourself, but loving your home the most. It is about homecoming. That, no matter where you live in the world, it is always the heart's yearning to come back home."
The star urged fans to watch the movie with the whole family, emphasising its beautiful message and encouraging them to bring their parents, children, and other family members.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki also features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover.
